Debunking the myth: Every dollar of marijuana tax revenue is associated with $4.50 in costs

A lot is made of marijuana’s tax revenue, but no one discusses the costs and if the costs outweigh the revenues. As with tobacco and alcohol, states are paying more money for societal costs of marijuana than they make in tax revenue from sales.
