Summary: Most marijuana being purchased in the U.S. for neuropathic pain is too potent to be effective. Typically containing two to three times the effective level of THC, the study concludes it is counterprodutive. The study found no clinical differences between "recreational" and "medical" marijuana. Advertising for medical marijuana could induce the false notion that higher potency is better. Recommendations are made to policy makers in "medical" marijuana states, including that the TCH concentraction be !0% or less.
